PEDro is committed to ensuring that this website is accessible to everyone. If you have any questions or suggestions regarding the accessibility of this site, please contact us.
Each page begins with the site name ‘PEDro’ as the primary heading.
All pages include a hidden skip link that becomes visible when focussed – via keyboard tab. This allows assistive device users to quickly skip over the site navigation to the page content.
The site navigation appears on the left side of all pages. The navigation items are displayed as a list of links.
The main content appears to the right of the site navigation on all pages.
At the bottom of the page are links to our sitemap and accessibility statement (this page) pages.
The content of all text-based links has been written clearly and concisely to aid users with assistive devices.
Concise text alternatives have been provided for all content-related images. Images that are purely decorative have not been given text alternatives.
Colours have been chosen to provide good contrast between text and backgrounds. We have avoided colour combinations that are known to cause difficulties for people with vision impairment.
Resizing text in Internet Explorer
If you are using Internet Explorer, you can change the font size by selecting the ‘View’ menu item and then selecting the ‘Text Size’ option (see the image below). Internet Explorer offers five size options (largest, large, medium, smaller, smallest). When you change this setting it will be remembered for all web sites that you visit.
If you are using Internet Explorer 7, you can hold down the CTRL key and press the plus (+) or minus (-) keys, which will increase or decrease the entire page.
Resizing text in Firefox
If you are using Firefox, you can change the font size by selecting the ‘View’ menu item and then selecting the ‘Zoom’ option. Unlike Internet Explorer, you are not limited to five sizes – you can continue to increase or decrease the text size as needed. Firefox users can also hold down the CTRL key and press the plus (+) or minus (-) keys to increase or decrease the layout size.
Resizing text in Apple Safari
If you are using Apple Safari, you can change the font size by selecting the ‘View’ menu item and then selecting either ‘Zoom in’, ‘Zoom out’ or ‘Zoom text only’. These options let you increase or decrease the overall layout, or just the text size as needed. Safari users can also hold down the COMMAND key and press the plus (+) or minus (-) keys to increase or decrease the text size.
